If you are done your race car project...

Time to create some Holiday eCards! Check out Blue Mountain for some inspiration.

Create as many as you like, this is a two day assignment. Tomorrow we will take a look at what everyone has created.

35. Race Car Project!

For your animation final project you must create a car and drive it around a track (a path that you draw yourself).

Here’s the outline for you to follow:

Background (drawn by you)

Race car (drawn by you)

Background music & car sound (Wednesday)

A set of lights that change from red to green

Car moves on green and goes around the track

Smooth infinite loop

** Remember to use proper layers for all individual items

**Make sure when you draw your car path, your ends do not touch.

32. Flash...Finally!

It's time to start animation!

AFL 1 - Motion Tweening

• Make a star go completely around the stage so it goes to each corner. To do this you will need to motion tween your object. 
• The distance between keyframes determines how fast your object moves – keyframes close together will result in faster animation, further apart will result in slower animations. 
• When finished add and animate another object on another layer (eg. Square, circle etc..). For this second object you must change the spline path. 
• Now add a third object (Text), that moves on your page 
• When you are finished save it to your F drive. then Export it as a .mov file and post it to your blog (remember to title it Exercise 1)

Things that need to be included in this project:

3 objects (1 being text)
Changed spline path, and object path
Background colour change
Named layer (printscrn your workspace)

AOL 1 - Shooting Star

For this Assignment you will need to make a shooting star go across the screen. you can choose to draw your own background or import an image you find online. you also must include text in your animation (a wish to go along with your shooting star!)

Remember to use separate layers.

Marking Guide:

2 marks for star
2 marks for text
1 mark for naming layers - (printscrn your workspace)

31. Let Me Take a Selfie.

Here's an easy and fun photography trick. You will need two cameras for this one. Find a friend (or two) and try a few of these out. You need to post 3 to your blog, you can edit them in photoshop afterwards if you like!

Today we are going back to the world of photography! You and a partner (if you wish) must find the alphabet in the school. 

You can take a photo of something that looks like a letter or, something that starts with the letter. You cannot take a picture of an actual letter.

28. AutoCAD Assignment #4

Create a floor plan of YOUR OWN house/apartment using AutoCAD.
OR
Choose one of the fictional floor plans created by Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde and reproduce it as best as you can using AutoCAD 360. Here's another link with a few larger dimension floor plans.

Reproduce the interior and exterior walls, doors, and windows. Add all the extra stuff as you see fit. Post a copy of the original floor plan (if you did a fictional one) and a screenshot of your AutoCAD reproduction.

Use LAYERS to change the colors

To Create a New Layer:
Open the Layer Properties Manager dialogue box. , click on the New button. A layer named Layer 1 will appear in the list of layers.While the Layer 1 name is highlighted, type a new name for the layer.
Click on OK to exit the dialogue box.

To add a new layer or change layer properties through  the Layer Properties Manager dialogue box you can: 

Click on the Layer button
Or select Layer... under the Format Menu.

The Layer Properties Manager dialogue box will appear.

To COPY an image, use the OFFSET function:

The OFFSET command allows you to copy selected entities (lines, arcs, circles, plines or others) and place the copy at a specific distance from the original or through an existing position on another element (such as the endpoint of a line, center of a circle, etc.). An OFFSET item will be parallel or concentric to its original.
select the Offset button on the Drawing toolbar.

23.Halloween Photoshop Fun

Choose a photo of someone (yourself, a friend, a celebrity...) and use Photoshop to Ghoul them up a bit for Halloween!
You must post 3 photos to your blog.

HERE ARE SOME INSTRUCTIONS...


The easiest way to do this is to have the layer with thing you want to add UNDERNEATH the original layer and use the eraser brush (at about a 20% hardness) to reveal the scariness from the layer below.
You'll have to use Transform (WinKey-T) to resize and rotate the scary image to fit the original. Slide the Opacity down on the original layer so you can see through it to the scary one underneath and Transform the scary one to fit it properly, then dial up the opacity of the original (top) layer back to 100%
Another thing I did was to make TWO layers of the original image and put the scary one BETWEEN them at about an 85% opacity. This allows the bottom layer to show through a bit which helps to incorporate the scary image into the original.Click on the images to enlarge...

19. Photoshop and Photography - Create a Superhero

Using photoshop effects and/or camera trickery create a superhero of yourself. (You may borrow a camera or use a smart device camera)

Here's today's task:

Your phone camera is all you need for this assignment. If you don't have one, partner up with somebody who does.

Make a list of all 10 rules to take with you outside.

You and your partner have 35 minutes to go into the halls and get all 10 photos taken.

When we return, upload the images to one blog but make sure you list both names on the post!

INFORMATION ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

**Choose the proper ISO light sensitivity/film speed/and or resolution setting, file format and image capture (camera) settings for good images

The higher the ISO number the faster the speed.
The ISO setting determines how sensitive the camera sensor is to light.
The higher the ISO setting the more sensitive it is to light, the faster it takes the shot.

15. Red Eye/Healing Brush

On the toolbar on the left hand side, click and hold the Healing Brush Tool (icon looks like a band-aid).
Select the Red Eye Tool.
Click on the red area of the pupil and watch it disappear!





Once you have fixed the red eye in the above picture post it to your blog.

Healing Brush Tool

This tool is very amazing. It works similarly to the Clone Stamp tool that we used in Fireworks. The biggest difference is that instead of completely coping and replacing a section of the photo it blends the destination and the source area together. It works very well at removing blemishes in a photo. Below, I have used the tool to make some changes to Morgan Freeman's face. We will do this together. Please copy the "before" picture and paste it into Photoshop.

After we are done, take one of the two pictures below and see what you can do with the tool. On top of this, you must take a photo of yourself and then adjust that picture using the tools.

14. Custom Brush/Swatch

In illustrator, create a custom swatch and a custom brush! (Just like in the fruit bowl tutorial)
You may only use basic shapes, and the pen/pencil tools.
When you have created your swatch & brush:

1. Create a square and fill it with your custom swatch.
2. Write your name with your brush.
3. Upload the .jpg to your blog.

Create a fruit bowl like the ones bellow. For today you need to create one bowl with three apples in it.
